This winter, we’re opening our doors, for 90 consecutive nights, to meet a growing crisis we never expected. After dozens of shelters across the city closed, more people than ever have been left with nowhere to go. What began as an emergency response has quickly become a lifeline.
Each bed costs just $14 a night to provide warmth, safety, and a meal for someone who would otherwise be outside. It’s not the prettiest shelter, but it’s warm — and it’s working. We’ve doubled our capacity from last year to welcome more men, women, and especially children in from the cold. Every night, guests receive a meal, a mat, and the message that they matter.
This effort takes all of us — from those giving financially to those serving on shifts through the night. Together, we can make sure every child, every parent, every neighbor has somewhere safe to rest this winter.
To be the hands and feet of Jesus means showing up when it’s uncomfortable — offering warmth where there’s cold, and love where there’s loss. Together, we can make sure hope meets every person who walks through our doors.
