Rescue The Children

A one-year residential program, plus aftercare—Rescue the Children provides a community that allows women with or without children seeking life transformation to find support through courses in life skills, relapse prevention, parenting, Biblical foundation, career services, case management, and counseling.

About the Program

Rescue the Children is a protected, compassionate, and loving community that helps women with or without children facing life insecurities related to homelessness, abuse, addiction, sex trafficking, and other traumas. Rescue the Children’s goal is to rescue women from their brokenness and restore them to the women God designed them to be.

Rehabilitation

We offer rehabilitation for women who are willing to commit and take the steps needed to overcome life-dominating struggles through relapse prevention courses, guidance, and counseling. We work with agencies county-wide to prevent parent and child separations as well as facilitate parent-child reunifications.

Education

We offer women the opportunity to obtain their high school diploma through units or GED. Through our partnership with Fresno City College, women are enrolled as non-credited college students as they pursue their high school diploma, with the opportunity to continue their college education after obtaining it.

Career Development

We provide vocational training, academic programs, and spiritual counseling to those seeking to transform their life with a new career path.

Stories of Restoration

Every day, lives are changed here at the Fresno Mission. Here are just some of the stories of those men, women, and children.

Johnny was born here in Fresno, the second oldest of five kids, to hardworking parents. But though they did their best to raise a loving family, Johnny’s home life could be challenging.
