CropGifting

CropGifting is a tax-efficient way for growers to donate a portion of their harvest to the Fresno Mission through their fund. We partner with foundations that take ownership of the commodity and sell, then deposit the net proceeds into a fund which you can use to donate to the Fresno Mission.

How this benefits both you and the Fresno Mission:

  • Gifted crops are not recognized as income on your Schedule F.
  • Production expenses related to the donated crop are deductible on your Schedule F in the year paid.
  • Federal, state, and self-employment taxes are not assessed on the value of the donated crop.
  • Gifting crops can have greater tax advantages than post-sale cash donations.

Contact our Chief Development Officer, Desmond Camacho, and he will walk you through the steps to donate a percentage of your crop.

Keep Doors and Hearts Open

God Always Makes Room for One More

This Christmas, many are being told there’s no room. But at Fresno Mission, God’s shelter is still open—and every gift helps keep it that way. Your gift provides warmth, safety, and Christ-centered care for someone with nowhere else to go.
