CropGifting

CropGifting is a tax-efficient way for growers to donate a portion of their harvest to the Fresno Mission through their fund. We partner with foundations that take ownership of the commodity and sell, then deposit the net proceeds into a fund which you can use to donate to the Fresno Mission.

How this benefits both you and the Fresno Mission:

  • Gifted crops are not recognized as income on your Schedule F.
  • Production expenses related to the donated crop are deductible on your Schedule F in the year paid.
  • Federal, state, and self-employment taxes are not assessed on the value of the donated crop.
  • Gifting crops can have greater tax advantages than post-sale cash donations.

Contact our Chief Development Officer, Desmond Camacho, and he will walk you through the steps to donate a percentage of your crop.

He Brings New Life

The Door Stays Open

There are people in our community who feel lost, broken, and without anywhere to turn.

At Fresno Mission, they find something different—grace, dignity, and Christ-centered restoration.

Lives are being rebuilt. Faith is being restored. New life is beginning.

This Easter, you can help keep the door open for someone ready for change.
