About the Thrift
These aren’t your average thrift stores—they’re better! Featuring the largest thrift store in the Valley, Mission Thrift locations offer a wide range of affordable items, including clothing, furniture, electronics, and household goods, with proceeds from the sales going directly to support the Fresno Mission’s programs and services. These include providing food, shelter, and rehabilitation services to those in need, as well as job training, counseling, and education programs to help individuals overcome the challenges of homelessness and poverty—all funded by the sale of donations from individuals like you!
When you step inside a Mission Thrift location, you’ll find a friendly staff, encouraging music, and unique secondhand treasures you won’t find in big box stores. Each store location features its own specially selected and curated boutique section housing top name brands, vintage goods, and collectibles!
Donate Your Goods
When you donate your gently used goods to Mission Thrift, you’re doing more than just clearing out clutter—you’re helping to change lives. Mission Thrift is part of the Fresno Mission’s social enterprise, with every item donated supporting our programs that Rescue, Restore, and Empower individuals in need. Your donations provide affordable shopping options for the community, and the proceeds help fund vital services, including shelter, food, and job training. By giving your items a second life, you’re also helping to provide a second chance for the lives of those we serve.
We accept donations of:
- Clothing
- Furniture
- Household Goods
- Electronics
Please Note: We cannot accept donations of some items:
- Mattresses & box springs
- Damaged furniture
- Building materials/cabinets
- Organs/pianos
- Blinds (unless metal)
- Tires
- Old paint/chemicals
- Car seats/cribs
What Do We Do With The Leftovers?
Some donated items simply cannot be sold, but that doesn’t mean they go to waste. Even if clothing is stained or ripped, or we only have one shoe from a pair, or a baseball glove is damaged beyond repair, it still has value. At Mission Thrift, we recycle almost everything—cloth, shoes, metals, TVs, and computers. We collect recycling fees for nearly everything, contributing even more to the funds we raise.
Donate Your Vehicle
In addition to thrift store donations, you can donate your vehicle to our Fresno Mission Automotive Department, which is also located at the Mission Thrift store. You can also purchase vehicles at Mission Thrift that have been repaired by men in our Men’s Academy Program. Plus, the proceeds from the sale of donated vehicles support our programs all year round.
